IwF GmbH was founded in 2010 and since 2015 has been pursuing the advancement of knowledge transfer from research at the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen and the Aachen Centre for 3D Printing to business enterprises.
We, a motivated and innovative team, support you in optimizing and designing the entire process chain in the field of additive manufacturing. Our spectrum ranges from customer-oriented research and development to practice-oriented seminars and individual consulting services. The mastery of all additive manufacturing processes as well as their preparation and post-processing steps are part of our core competencies. In addition to resource-saving production, the high design and constructional freedom represents a significant advantage over conventional production processes. Individual components with highly complex geometries and internal structures can be produced directly from a 3D data set.
Our headquarter is located in Aachen on the new Campus-Boulevard, an association of science and business. Experts conduct research on defined and current topics. The long-lived research areas of RWTH Aachen University are represented by clusters. These are divided into centers in which interdisciplinary teams of scientists and industry consortia work together on special issues of the future with visionary approaches to solutions. IwF GmbH is located in the Digital Photonic Production Cluster (DPP) on Campus-Boulevard 79 and was completed in spring 2016 in the Photonik cluster on the RWTH Aachen Campus. Here, partners from industry and science work and conduct research together on approx. 7,000 m² of office and laboratory space under one roof within the framework of the DPP research campus.
IwF GmbH passes on current research knowledge and competencies to companies for the best possible qualification of their employees. Since additive manufacturing is used in various branches of industry and our customers also come from a wide variety of business areas, we react flexibly to the wishes of our customers.
In cooperation with renowned partners and partner universities, IwF GmbH offers, for example, an in-service course of study for application engineers for additive manufacturing processes and rapid technologies, DVS certificate courses in the field of additive production of metals and plastics, as well as individually adapted in-house seminars and basic courses.
